Eliminating Pet and Animal Odors
There are many sources of animal odors found in the home. From droppings and urine, to decaying carcasses, or the body greases they’ve deposited in your home, to the typical skunk spray stench. Pet Odors: Yes, they are sweet, funny, adorable, and loyal. But they can leave your home a smelly mess. As with all things in life, we take the good with the bad. For those of us who live with our furry friends, we've come to expect the worst and try our best not to have our homes smell like a litter box or a dirty dog. Most people who love animals take the occasional mess in stride and understand it comes with the territory. One key to eliminating odor in your home is to make sure the pets are healthy. Feeding them the right food and appropriate treats will be a great beginning to a healthy pet. Dog odor can be unpleasant to dog owners - especially when dogs are kept inside the home. Dogs may also develop unnatural odors as a result of skin disease or other disorders or may become contaminated with odors from other sources in their environment. Skunks and dogs also often have aggressive encounters and a dog may be sprayed by a skunk. This results in an over-powering musky acrid odor that remains apparent in the skunked dog's coat for days or even weeks until steps are taken to neutralize the odor. Puppies and Dogs, man's best friend poses much different odor issues than cats. Puppies can take a while to potty train so you should expect some accidents. Again, I recommend Nature's Miracle for eliminating odor from carpets. It will remove the enzymes left by the urine or feces eliminating the smell and reducing the chance the puppy will think that's his poo spot. Kennel training is the easiest way to potty train your new puppy but if they do have an accident, you will need to clean the kennel to eliminate the odor there as well. Nature's Miracle offers a full line of products to help eliminate odor from all types of surfaces including carpet, hard wood floors, tile, concrete, plastics, and even outdoor odors. Puppies and Dogs like to get dirty. It's a fact, if my dog saw a mud hole, he wanted to be in it! So bathing your dog regularly will help eliminate odors as well. Using a good conditioning shampoo will help keep your dogs skin healthy which in turn will help eliminate "smelly dog" odor. Charcoal is an age-old remedy for managing odors associated with pets and animals. You can dust it around areas where animals mark their territory, it even works when you've been "skunked". Charcoal frequently comes in powder and granular form. There are also plastic products that are impregnated with activated charcoal that work well in small areas and can be hung in bird cages etc.
